Triangle-shaped UFO spotted in Agoncillo in 1978

On the early morning of July 20, 1978, three witnesses at the Agoncillo airfield in La Rioja observed a strange object in the sky. The on-duty soldier alerted the corporal and a second lieutenant, who joined the observation. The object, which made no noise, was moving slowly at about 1,000 meters altitude, heading east-west. While they agreed on the general description, the witnesses disagreed on the exact shape: two described it as a diamond with lights at the corners, while the third saw it as a triangle. All agreed that the object had a central, more intense, flashing light.

The report, later declassified, records the observations without finding conventional explanations. Despite the differences in shape, the three witnesses agreed on the lack of noise and the slow movement. The object disappeared without showing any unusual behavior, leaving an unresolved mystery.
