🇦🇷 Fuerza Aérea — CIAE
In this document, the Aerospace Research Center (CIAE) presents its annual report on resolved UFO sightings from 2025. Established in 2019, the CIAE focuses on investigating aerospace phenomena and responding to civilian reports using scientific methodology. In this year, 28 cases with testimonies and evidence were analyzed, while 11 others could not be processed due to lack of information. Although all cases were explained by known causes such as drones, satellites, or reflections, they remain valuable for understanding how everyday objects can be misinterpreted. The report also includes field investigations on space debris and three emblematic cases involving pilots, highlighting that even experts can confuse conventional phenomena with strange objects.
The CIAE classifies cases into Type A (definitively explained) and Type B (strongly supported explanations). Examples include a drone with LED lights, reflections from Starlink satellites, and an insect captured unexpectedly in a photo. Each case is analyzed using tools like astronomical simulations and image analysis. The report emphasizes the importance of applying principles such as Occam's Razor, prioritizing simple explanations before complex hypotheses. Although there is no evidence of non-terrestrial phenomena, the document underscores the need to maintain an open and scientific mind toward the unknown.
