Stacked-saucer-shaped object near Biarritz in 1951

Summary

In August 1951, close to midnight, a couple saw a silent object moving near the horizon in the vicinity of Biarritz. According to the account — filed in 1975 — it had the shape of two stacked saucers with windows emitting a fluorescent green light. It first traveled north to south, then changed course to east-west before vanishing rapidly. Frightened, the witnesses threw themselves to the ground.

Some features resemble a meteorite, but the described shape and direction change are inconsistent with that explanation. As a single testimony collected over twenty years later with no additional data, the case was classified as having insufficient information.
