🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On September 5, 1954, near the PTT radio station at Cap Spartel (Morocco), a family observed a black circular object high in the sky, roughly the size of an airplane. One witness followed it for 10 minutes as it moved southward, making sudden stops, without any noise, light or smoke. Eventually, the object disappeared westward, diving toward the sea until it vanished. Only one testimony was collected, with a map and a sketch. Although the possibility of an aircraft from the Rabat-Salé airbase performing aerobatics was considered, the lack of information about the object's angular size and its disappearance over the sea horizon prevented confirmation. Therefore, the GEIPAN classified this case as C due to insufficient data.
