🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
At 2:30 a.m. on 20 May 1955, two gendarmes on duty in Givet, Ardennes, observed a luminous shell-shaped object moving from southeast to northeast. It disappeared within seconds, leaving a multicoloured trail. GEIPAN classified the case as B, most likely a fireball caused by a meteorite entering the atmosphere.
