Summary

At 20:55 on a June evening in 1955, three witnesses in Cavaillon spotted a motionless red rectangle in the sky. Within roughly twenty seconds it changed shape — from a crescent to a sphere — moved swiftly eastward, narrowed, and vanished. Investigators ruled out the Moon and conventional aircraft, but the brevity of the sighting and lack of additional data prevented a firm conclusion. GEIPAN classified the case as C. Despite its short duration, the testimony was coherent and detailed in its description of the object's shape changes and trajectory.
