Summary

Three witnesses in Sali (Algeria) observed a bright orange object in the sky on September 14, 1959. The phenomenon began at 5:10 AM and lasted about an hour. The object stopped at 5:30 AM and for 40 minutes drifted slowly toward the northeast, changing shape and color. It was observed with binoculars, but no sounds or trails were reported. Only one testimony with two diagrams showing the object's evolution was collected.

Another observation from September 12 mentions an orange phenomenon, star-sized, that moved rapidly in 30 seconds. It was also at high altitude and silent. The GEIPAN classified the September 14 case as category B, considering it could be a balloon illuminated by the rising sun. The lack of precise directions and the time near sunrise support this hypothesis. For September 12, a meteoroid passage was proposed.
