In March 1959, several witnesses in Bergen, Norway, reported seeing five bright objects in the sky. According to Birger Storesund, the objects appeared between 20:10 and 20:15, crossing the sky from north to south without making any noise. One of them was described as similar in size and appearance to the Soviet Sputnik satellites. The witnesses used binoculars to observe them, and curiously, Storesund’s dog, trained to react to aircraft, showed no reaction to the objects. This case, published in the Aftenposten newspaper, adds a new chapter to the history of UFO sightings in the 1950s.
