Summary

In October 1969, three people in Nantes observed a bright object in the sky. A witness used a high-powered telescope and described a disk with two satellites orbiting around it. The observation lasted about twenty minutes, but upon returning, the object had disappeared. Although the bright point could have been a bright star or a weather balloon, the detailed and enthusiastic description by the witness, combined with the lack of other testimonies, created some uncertainty. The GEIPAN report classified the case as "C", indicating that it cannot be clearly dismissed or confirmed.

The confusion could be due to optical flaws in the telescope, which can create false images. The witness claimed the equipment was of good quality, as he had previously used it to see Jupiter's satellites. However, with the passage of time and no other testimonies, the authenticity of the case cannot be verified. Still, the description of the object and its movements remains intriguing and keeps the case in the list of unexplained phenomena.
