In September 1975, several witnesses in the Nord region of France reported a mysterious orange phenomenon in the sky. The event occurred on Friday the 26th and was investigated by the French gendarmerie following a newspaper article. Although photographs were taken, they turned out to be inconclusive and the testimonies were contradictory. Investigators concluded that the phenomenon could be related to the metallurgical area of Charleroi in Belgium, located in the direction indicated by the witnesses. The case was classified as B, suggesting a likely terrestrial explanation.
