Green emerald sphere over Chambourg-sur-Indre

Summary

On January 31, 1976, a witness in Chambourg-sur-Indre saw a circular luminous object of emerald-green hue surrounded by a reddish halo, travelling silently in a straight line from west to east. Despite its speed, the observer managed to describe its shape and colour in some detail. No other witnesses, radar records or simultaneous sightings came to light, and GEIPAN classified the case as C for lack of a convincing explanation.
