🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On February 3, 1976, several witnesses in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region observed a white-silver light in the sky. The light rose above a hill and gradually disappeared behind an obscured slope. Prior to this, a sound similar to that of a supersonic aircraft was heard. The gendarmerie ruled out the possibility of a fire or falling object, as no ground traces were found. Due to the lack of concrete information, the case was classified as C by the GEIPAN.
