Stationary object with silhouettes at Châteaurenard

Summary

On February 5, 1976, two people in Châteaurenard saw a luminous object hovering motionless roughly 25 metres from their house and 15 metres above the ground. They reported distinguishing two silhouettes inside the craft. The object drifted slowly south-east without making any sound. The gendarmerie found no physical traces, and no further witnesses came forward. GEIPAN classified the case as C.
