Red ball and crescent glow in the Eastern Pyrenees

Around 4:30 AM on August 28, 1976, a witness in the Pyrénées-Orientales saw a bright red ball cross the overcast sky swiftly and silently before vanishing behind the landscape. His dog reacted with fear. Shortly afterward, he noticed a white crescent-shaped light, motionless behind a line of trees in the direction the first phenomenon had gone. No traces were found at the site and no other testimonies were gathered. The case remains unexplained due to lack of data.
