Oval reddish light over Château-Gontier

Summary

On October 5 and 6, 1976, between 6:30 and 6:40 AM, two witnesses in Château-Gontier saw a luminous point in the sky. The object, oval-shaped and deep red, first appeared stationary to the north, then drifted slowly from east to west for less than a minute before vanishing abruptly. No other testimonies or supplementary information were collected. GEIPAN classified it as a C case.
