Stationary and moving UFO in Château-Gontier

Summary

In October 1976, two witnesses in Château-Gontier observed an unusual aerial phenomenon. On the 5th and 6th of the month, between 6:30 and 6:40 in the morning, they saw a bright point in the sky. This object, oval in shape and bright red in color, first appeared stationary in the north and then slowly moved from east to west. The phenomenon lasted less than a minute before suddenly disappearing. No further testimonies or information were collected about this case, which was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating no conventional explanation was found.
