Summary

In October 1976, several witnesses in Isère observed a bright cigar-shaped object with a dark circle in the center. The object moved silently between 5 and 5:30 p.m. No other reports were recorded. Investigators suggest it was likely a blimp used for advertising, which would explain its unusual appearance and behavior. Although not a typical UFO phenomenon, the detailed description and silent movement surprised the witnesses.
