Possible advertising airship sighted in Allevard

Summary

In October 1976, several witnesses in Isère saw a bright cigar-shaped object with a dark circle at its center gliding silently between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. No other reports were filed. Investigators suggested it may have been an advertising airship, which would explain both its appearance and behavior. Despite the hypothesis, the total absence of noise surprised the witnesses.
