On October 21, 1976, between 6:30 and 6:45 PM, three people in different locations observed a bright red-orange ball moving slowly in a southeast to northwest direction. The object was seen for about 45 seconds before it suddenly disappeared. A few minutes later, a second identical phenomenon appeared to follow the same trajectory.
