On the early morning of October 29, 1976, several witnesses in Chatel-Guyon observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. It was a circular object emitting a very bright white light. The exact altitude of the object remains unknown, but its stationary nature and intense glow drew attention. No movement or noise was reported, suggesting the object was motionless.
This case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, indicating that a conventional explanation was not ruled out. However, the object's description and behavior do not easily fit known phenomena. The observation occurred between 4 and 4:45 AM in clear weather conditions, which allowed for a clear view of the phenomenon. Although no images or recordings were taken, the fact that multiple witnesses reported the same event adds credibility to the account.
