On November 4, 1976, several witnesses in the Bouches-du-Rhône region observed a slow-moving, silent triangular object traveling from Marseille to La Ciotat. The object was slightly larger than a commercial aircraft and emitted a red light at the front and a white glow at the back. Although the description hinted at something unusual, authorities noted that around 21:30 to 22:00, a large commercial plane was also following the same route. It was concluded that the witnesses had likely seen a conventional aircraft, though its appearance and behavior caused confusion and intrigue.
