Round objects sighted by military personnel in Meyronnes

Summary

In December 1976, soldiers stationed in Meyronnes spotted several round objects moving slowly and silently from southeast to northwest. The sighting lasted only seconds. Around the same time, a canine unit reported that all ten dogs howled in an unusual, terrified manner. An additional witness recalled seeing a red light weeks earlier that rose from the mountain slopes and disappeared behind a peak. A surveillance watch was set up from December 12 to 30 following the reports, but no further sightings occurred.
