🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Starting at 8:45 PM on January 10, 1977, witnesses scattered across several French departments reported reddish objects moving quickly and silently through the sky. Their descriptions were remarkably consistent: red-toned lights, rapid displacement, and complete silence. All contacted the gendarmerie, but officers were unable to observe the phenomena. The lack of physical evidence and official confirmation limits analysis, yet the coherence among independent testimonies led GEIPAN to keep the case classified as category C, not ruling out an unconventional explanation.
