Rectangular luminous shapes near Issoudun

Summary

Near midnight on January 23, 1977, a witness in the Indre region saw an approaching orange light. After waking others, all observed luminous balls close together, roughly football-sized. One object stood out for its rectangular shape, narrower at the rear with illuminated openings. They moved silently. Although a military airfield was nearby, the objects could not be confirmed as a transport aircraft. GEIPAN classified the case as category C, with no confirmed conventional explanation.
