🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On March 18, 1977, at 8:30 PM, several witnesses—including gendarmes—observed a strange light over Belleville-sur-Saône that remained visible until midnight. It moved slowly, changing in both size and color from white to yellowish orange. Despite having qualified observers, the phenomenon could not be identified as an astronomical event due to insufficient precise data. GEIPAN classified it as category C, unexplained.
