Summary

Around 11:20 PM on May 11, 1977, a witness in Corrèze observed two large stationary luminous balls at roughly 50 meters altitude, east of their home. They were bright enough to noticeably illuminate the ground. A minute later, before the phenomenon vanished, a helicopter-like rotor sound was heard and an intense yellow light lit up the area. No other witnesses or additional information were found. GEIPAN classified the case as category C, unexplained.
