In the early hours of June 25, 1977, several witnesses in Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise (Pas-de-Calais) observed two beams of light moving and rotating across the sky. The phenomenon recurred intermittently between 1:05 and 2:05 AM, flashing every 15 to 20 seconds. Gendarmes were alerted at 2:05 and arrived at 2:30 but found nothing visible. While the testimonies consistently describe rotating lights, no physical evidence was found. GEIPAN classified the case as C.
