Multicolored sphere and luminous discs near Urmatt

On the night of July 19, 1977, a hunter near Urmatt (Bas-Rhin) spotted a multicolored luminous sphere in the sky. Continuing on his way, he noticed that where the sphere had vanished, several pale disc-shaped objects the size of a tray had appeared. He sought confirmation at a nearby chalet, and a second witness told gendarmes he had observed three stationary luminous discs through a telescope. By midnight, nothing remained visible. No further testimony or explanation was obtained.
