Night light and ovoid object in a field near Louviers

Summary

Two separate observations define this case in Louviers (Eure). On August 6, 1977, at 1:30 AM, two people saw a yellow-orange light moving slowly, stopping, briefly revealing two small red lights, then continuing — all in complete silence over three minutes. A week later, on August 13, one of the witnesses found a bright ovoid object resting motionless in a nearby field for about ten minutes. Gendarmes discovered three shallow holes at the site, but soil and radioactivity analyses showed nothing abnormal. No other testimony was recorded.
