Summary

On the night of August 15, 1977, two witnesses in the Jura region of France observed a luminous ball appearing in the sky from the southwest. The object moved slowly at low altitude, stopped for a few seconds, and then accelerated toward the northeast. Remarkably, no sound was heard during the several minutes of observation. Despite the detailed account from the witnesses, no other reports were collected regarding this phenomenon, making it difficult to classify and analyze. This case, categorized as "C" by the GEIPAN, remains a mystery due to the lack of additional information.
