In September 1977, multiple witnesses in Yonne, France, reported seeing slow-moving airborne objects with flashing colored lights in the sky. The sightings occurred above Sens and Brienon-sur-Armançon. Although it appeared to be an unusual phenomenon, it was likely attributed to an unusual concentration of air traffic due to the activation of a holding pattern in the area. The event was recorded by the GEIPAN, which classified the case as category B. The description and behavior of the objects attracted attention, but no conclusive evidence of extraterrestrial origin was found.
