Luminous sphere over a field in Condé-sur-Escaut

Summary

On 2 October 1977 a farmer in northern France was startled by a luminous spherical object that flew over her in a matter of seconds. Other people nearby confirmed seeing an unusual light at the far end of the field. The report was filed three days later; no ground traces or further testimonies were found. GEIPAN classified the case as C — it remains unexplained.
