Les Andelys 1977, Sky Object and Mysterious Explosion

Summary

On November 15, 1977, around 6:45 AM, a witness on a moped observed an elongated object moving rapidly toward the northwest. Moments later, the object exploded into a shower of sparks falling to the ground, revealing a colorful ball that continued its path before vanishing completely. Interestingly, no noise was heard during the observation. Another witness, at the same time, saw a luminous phenomenon followed by a long multicolored trail. Local authorities found no traces on the ground, and no other testimonies were collected. Although intriguing, it is believed the witnesses observed a natural atmospheric entry event.
