On the evening of 10 November 1977, several diners at a restaurant in Kourou watched a luminous object trace geometric figures in the sky for fifteen minutes before spiralling down and disappearing. No aircraft flights, balloon launches, or rocket activity were recorded that day.
The following day a witness told authorities he had seen a battery-powered glider landing in a hotel car park. Despite investigation, the glider's owner was never found. The temporal overlap between the two events is striking, though no direct link was established.
