On 19 November 1977 a driver and passenger spotted a reddish-orange ball of light near their car. Stopping, they saw it hovering silently just 1.5 metres above the ground, about 30 metres away. Frightened, the driver took a different route, yet the phenomenon trailed them for nine kilometres over fifteen minutes.
No physical traces were found, and neither observatories nor military services recorded unusual activity that night. Investigators suggested an electrical phenomenon, noting the object consistently appeared near power-line installations.
