Summary

A data-poor case. On 1 January 1978, around 5:15 p.m., a farmer in the Gironde region saw a flickering orange light in the southwestern sky moving slowly southward, visible for about two minutes. No other witnesses or reports emerged. GEIPAN classified it C — unexplained but with insufficient information for further analysis.
