Reddish flashes before dawn near Dol-de-Bretagne

Summary

Between 5:57 and 6:45 a.m. on 14 January 1978, several people in the Côtes-d'Armor area briefly saw intense reddish-orange lights illuminating the surroundings. One motorist described two luminous spheres — orange and blue — roughly 500 metres ahead. Concrete details are scarce and the source of the phenomenon was never identified. GEIPAN classified the case C, with no clear explanation.
