Chabeuil 1978, Silent bright object

Summary

On February 28, 1978, a driver and her son observed a very bright orange object moving rapidly from north to south. The event lasted three minutes and no unusual noise was heard. The object briefly stabilized before slowly heading south and suddenly disappearing. No physical traces or additional witnesses were found. This case, classified as unexplained by the GEIPAN, remains a mystery.
