Summary

While driving near Verdun in April 1978, a motorist and passengers first saw a white light in the sky, then a large reddish triangular shape that hung completely motionless. When they stopped, they noticed it made no sound. A white light then moved toward them, frightening the group into driving away. No other witnesses were recorded. GEIPAN classified the case as C, with no conclusive elements.
