Bright red ball in Haute-Garonne

On July 27, 1978, several witnesses in Haute-Garonne observed a very bright red ball that seemed to fall from the sky near their homes. One of them saw it again around 00:45, this time rising and disappearing. Despite searches by witnesses and gendarmes, no traces of a fallen object were found. No further information about this phenomenon was collected. This case, classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, stands out for the consistency of the testimonies and the lack of physical evidence.
