Descending and rising red ball at L'Union

Summary

On 27 July 1978, several witnesses near L'Union in Haute-Garonne saw a very bright red ball apparently falling from the sky close to their homes. One of them saw it again around 00:45, this time rising before vanishing. A search by witnesses and gendarmes found no traces of a fallen object. Classified as C by GEIPAN, the case stands out for the consistency of testimonies despite a complete absence of physical evidence.
