On August 6, 1978, two people in Herouville, in the Calvados region, observed a luminous object slowly moving across the sky. According to their testimonies, they saw a very bright yellow light moving at a constant speed for about 45 minutes. The object was at a high altitude and moving in a southeast to northwest direction before disappearing from view. No other witnesses reported the phenomenon, making analysis difficult. However, researchers suggest it is likely they observed a satellite, as there is no evidence of an unexplained event.
