In November 1978, a witness in Saint-Junien (Haute-Vienne) spotted a bright rectangular object against an overcast sky. Initially stationary, it then startled the observer and a colleague by moving at high speed in opposite directions. The control tower at Limoges-Bellegarde airport confirmed flights in the area during that period but could not match any of them to the described object. The case remains unresolved.
