Orange fireball over Noyant-la-Gravoyère

Around 19:30 on January 2, 1979, a witness in Noyant-la-Gravoyère (Maine-et-Loire) observed an unusual luminous phenomenon to the northeast. Using binoculars, he watched for twenty minutes a fist-sized orange fireball. No sound was heard and the object disappeared into the clouds. There were no other testimonies or additional details, making the case difficult to classify.
