Triangular UFO in Châteauneuf-de-Galaure 1979

Summary

A witness in Drôme, France, reported two distinct sightings of an unidentified object in January and February 1979. On the first occasion, on January 25th around 10:00 PM, the witness and another person noticed their car being illuminated by a light from above. After stopping, they saw a triangular object emitting lights of different colors, mainly orange-red, with two spotlights pointing toward the ground. The object moved slowly with a whistling sound and, although it was very close (5 meters), its size could not be estimated before it disappeared behind a hill. The second sighting occurred on February 10th, when the witness heard a low humming sound from his apartment. He observed an object with two parts emitting white and red lights, moving north-south. As it reached the city, it was joined by a series of bright objects also emitting lights for half an hour. Despite the duration of the phenomenon, no other testimonies or additional information were collected.
