On February 6, 1979, at 9:20 AM, a passerby in Nice observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky that caught his attention. For two minutes, he saw a saucer-shaped object with blue and yellow lines at the back that disappeared. The object was hidden by buildings, but when the witness regained sight of it, he noticed a denser, rounded light at its center. The object remained motionless within a luminous halo, forming a 20-degree angle with the ground. At that time, the sun was very low on the horizon, leading investigators to conclude it was likely a solar reflection through the clouds.
