In March 1979, two witnesses in Nice observed a luminous phenomenon that caught their attention. From their villa, they saw a large white sphere with a bluish hue, hovering about fifty meters above the ground. The object remained visible for about thirty seconds before gradually disappearing. That night, a storm was hitting the area with flashes and a bright glow in the sky. A day later, one of the witnesses visited the site and discovered that a lightning strike had hit a nearby power pole, which likely explains the mysterious light. Although intriguing, the phenomenon seems to have a natural explanation related to the storm.
