Bright white light in Charente-Maritime

Summary

On April 7, 1979, a driver and his passenger witnessed a very intense fluorescent white light in a field in Charente-Maritime. The light illuminated the ground for several meters and came from a dark, rounded mass larger than a car. The sighting lasted only a few seconds before the light completely disappeared. The field was located on a hillside and bordered by a communal path, but no ground traces were found.
