🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Around 10:45 p.m. on April 15, 1979, several witnesses in Châteaugiron saw a slowly moving bright dot in the sky. At one point it stopped, changed color, and flickered. Gendarmes arrived and confirmed a star-sized luminous point drifting eastward. No precise altitude or direction data were obtained, but investigators suggest it may have been the star Vega. Classified B by GEIPAN: a conventional explanation is not ruled out, though the testimonies are mutually consistent.
