Summary

In May 1979, several people in the Savoie region observed a spherical and metallic object moving slowly over the terrain. The object, which first appeared on the ground, rose horizontally and followed the landscape's contours while oscillating. Some witnesses saw it for about 30 minutes before it gradually disappeared. Although no records of weather balloon launches were found in the area, the descriptions suggest it was likely a regular balloon.
