Erratic light after a storm in Challain-la-Potherie

Summary

Following a storm in the early hours of 10 June 1979, a witness in Challain-la-Potherie observed from a window an intense light in the southwest moving slowly on a horizontal plane with occasional vertical oscillations. At times the light produced luminous circles when it shifted position. A second, flickering light later appeared from the north, crossed above the first, and vanished rapidly southward. No sound was heard and no other witnesses came forward. The lack of additional information prevents any explanation.
