Summary

Between 21:50 and 21:55 on 14 July 1979, two witnesses in Beauvais saw a round metallic-looking object — resembling a stainless-steel or aluminium cauldron — at an estimated 100 to 150 metres altitude. It moved northeast to southwest, oscillating steadily and silently while producing reflections along its path. No other witnesses came forward. The date and area context, where other low-altitude sightings had been recorded, led investigators to consider a conventional explanation.
