🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In the early hours of 28 July 1979, a resident of Herblay was woken by an unusual light flooding his room. Looking out the window, he saw a white luminous ball, larger than the moon, drifting very slowly from north-east to north-west without any sound before disappearing behind nearby buildings. No other witnesses or additional information were found.
GEIPAN classified the case as "C", meaning the nature of the phenomenon could not be determined. Although the witness's description is clear, the lack of corroborating testimonies or evidence prevents a more precise assessment.
